1956: A few weeks after its release, Why Do Fools Fall in Love by Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers peaks at #6 on the charts. Frankie is just 13 years old and the group is named The Premiers. They change their name to the Teenagers just before they go into the studio to record Why Do Fools Fall in Love. Soon they’re on nationwide TV, performing on the hugely popular Frankie Laine show:
