If you can’t spell what you found I know that you’re not my kind

Hollywood Argyles1960: Alley Oop hits #1.

The Move1967: I Can Hear the Grass Grow — a trippy pean to turning on — hits #5 on the U.K. charts. Recorded by The Move, one of the hottest groups on the Isles, this one is a genuine drug song. So many other perfectly innocent tunes are suspected of being drug songs that this one is kind of lost in the shuffle. If you fail to associate “turning on” with hallucinogenics, you’re too young for this stuff and you might as well just move on.
