1973: Jefferson Airplane is prevented from giving a free concert in Golden Gate Park when San Francisco authorities pass a resolution banning electronic instruments. The successor to Jefferson Airplane (later Jefferson Starship) is the group Starship, which in 1985 has a hit with We Built This City. It is said that a portion of the song refers to this 1973 incident. Here’s the verse:

Someone’s always playing corporation games
Who cares, they’re always changing corporation names
We just want to dance here, someone stole the stage
They call us irresponsible, write us off the page
