Dylan L.A.1965: Fulfilling his responsibility to help publicize his recently released Highway 61 Revisited album, Bob Dylan endures a long Los Angeles news conference. They really do ask dumb questions. One reporter wants Dylan to explain what kind of singer he is. “I’m a mathematical singer,” Dylan says in response. Asked what he’s going to do next, he says: “I’m going to write a symphony.” When a reporter asks if he will involve himself in “protest politics,” Dylan says: “No. I have too many other things to do.” Here’s the whole thing:
