Loco Motion.jpg1945: Born this day in Belhaven, N.C., as Eva Narcissus Boyd, singer Little Eva. She is discovered by songwriters Carole King and Gerry Goffin while baby-sitting their daughter. Her biggest hit is The Loco-Motion, a #1 song in 1962. Sadly, we lose her to cancer in 2003.

He writes several top 40 songs, including the #1 hit Me and Bobby McGee. His biggest solo hit is Why Me, a million-selling record that reaches #16 on Chart Toppers Hot 100 in 1973. I’ll always favor The Pilgrim– Chapter 33.
